About Maniyar
Maniyar is a renowned town and nagar panchayat in Ballia district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Maniyar is situated on the banks of the Saryu River.
The name Maniyar is derived from Munivar. The Hindu god Parasurama was said to meditate here for a long time, where Maharishi Parashuram Dham was built at the same place in the 16th century. It is also called Parshuram Nagari.
